A li’l bit of everything
This fest brings in artists and multi-disciplinary performers from India and abroad for a continuous, colourful 12-hr act.
Twelve hours of music, food, workshops on music, and a flea market. Area 79, a festival that aims to bring music, art and culture under one roof is back and this time it promises to be bigger and better. The event organised by Audio Ashram, a cultural organisation, will see over 30 artists from India and abroad across genres. Besides music, the festival will also see a flea market, with stalls selling clothes and food. Interestingly, there are stalls on gaming and also a general store.
Nikhil Mahajan of Audio Ashram says, “The festival aims to give its audience an experience of alternative music and culture along with food and shopping.” The entire venue for the festival is divided into four performace stages, based on different musical genres, live stage, club/dub stage, dance stage and trip/psy stage. Artists such as Reggae Rajahs, Loopbaba, BLOT, Midivial Punditz, Crash and Boom, Sky Rabbit and Circus, among many others, are some of the star attractions of the evening. Anshul Lall, drummer for the band Circus says that he is excited to share the stage with different artists. “I am looking forward for this event as we will be sharing the performance space with other artists. It is a very good experience.
Also, we will be performing with Ska Vengers with whom we have never shared the stage.”
