G20: Police ask Metro to shut 30 stns every day for few hours

Delhi Police plans to ask the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to close around 30 metro stations for a few hours each day from September 8 to 10 during the G20 Summit. The stations include those on the way to the airport and Pragati Maidan, as well as Rajiv Chowk, Sardar Patel Marg, and Khan Market stations. The closure is to facilitate VVIP movement, and police have also requested additional paramilitary forces for the metro unit. Metro services will not be disrupted, but commuters will be unable to enter or exit the affected stations at certain times.

The G20 Summit will be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10. (PTI)

Hate speech charge added to 8 FIRs over protests in Delhi

Air India drunk passenger case: Accused yet to be arrested; US firm fires him over ‘disturbing allegations’
