Health minister in Noida: To streamline drug supply, UP to start e-tender process

Purchase of pharmaceutical drugs for government supply across the state will soon be made through e-tendering, said health minister Siddharth Nath Singh. This is being done to “end corruption” and “streamline” supply of medicines in various government hospitals and health centres in the state, he said.

Officials said in the next six months, 90% of the drugs required in government hospitals and health centres will be procured through e-tendering.(HT File)

Noida power bills to be sent through SMS soon

Consumers are likely to get their electricity bills through SMS on their registered mobile numbers from April-end. The service of issuing bills to the consumers from meter readings will also continue, officials said.

Sector 28 suffered 22-hour power outage from Sunday night

Residents of Sector 28 suffered a power outage of over 22 hours from Sunday evening as two electricity poles adjacent to the main transformer were uprooted while a fault in the electricity supply was being fixed. Nearly 150 houses in the sector were plunged into darkness from 8pm on Sunday. Normal supply was restored only around 6.30pm on Monday.
