KR Pura Metro line can ease traffic snarls on Outer Ring Road in Karnataka, say experts

The green signal has been given for passenger operations to begin on a stretch of the Bangalore Metro Rail, but congestion on the Outer Ring Road could have been avoided if the metro line had been functioning. The 2.1-kilometer stretch of the purple line is still closed to commuters. The delay in opening the stretch has drawn criticism from the public, who are urging the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation to start operations as soon as possible.
