GB Nagar administration to collect 4,000 samples per day for Covid-19 test in special drive

Gautam Budh Nagar district magistrate Suhas LY said that the samples will be tested via different methods. “We have set a target of testing 1,000 samples through the lab-based reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method, and 3,000 via the rapid antigen method.

Meanwhile, the Gautam Budh Nagar district, on Tuesday, reported 97 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the overall Covid-19 count in the district to 2,301 cases.(Reuters Photo)

The district chief medical officer Dr. Deepak Ohri said that 707 people had tested positive in the district, of which 477 have been discharged from different hospitals, and 10 patients have so far succumbed to the virus.

19 persons ‘falsely’ tested positive in Gautam Budh Nagar, count reaches 591 with 21 new Covid-19 cases

Meanwhile, 21 new positive cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) were reported on Saturday taking the overall tally of the district to 59.

Covid-19: GB Nagar’s recovery rate is better than other districts sharing borders with Delhi

According to the figures issued by the district till Tuesday evening, 346 out of 496 Covid-19 patients were cured. Among the other districts that borders the national capital, Ghaziabad came in next with 62.9% (217 out of 345 cases), followed by Haryana’s Sonepat at 63.5% (144 out of 233 cases).
