Former Haryana assistant advocate general, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza had preserved all the SMS and messages sent by former deputy chief minister of Haryana Chander Mohan on a CD. Police have seized 50 CDs from Sec-48 house, cars scanned for fingerprints however nothing objectionable found.

The lure of easy money let a councillor of Kharar fall into a trap laid by two Nigerian nationals, and he ended up losing Rs 97 lakh to the fraudsters in the process. Acting on a complaint, police have now arrested 37-year-old Mike Johnson and 35- year-old Franco Anderson on charges of cheating (Section 420) and criminal breach of trust (406) of the Indian penal code.

Punjab cyber crime branch has arrested 28-year-old Sumit Gupta and two others on charge of duping Federal Bank, Kerala, of crores of rupees through fraudulent ATM transactions. Gupta took to cyber crime to cover losses he incurred in his business of manufacturing T-shirts, and in a few months headed a gang that made crores of rupees.
