Translocation of cheetahs from Africa to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno delayed

The delay comes as a dozen officers of the state forest department and experts from the Wildlife Institute of India were catching leopards over a 500-hectare area developed for cheetahs in Kuno

India is likely to receive the first batch of cheetahs from two African countries —South Africa and Namibia — for their translocation in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park on August 13, multiple officials involved in the process said.

MP hospital fire: Hospital owners, manager booked

The owners and a manager of the Newlife Multispeciality Hospital in Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh were booked in connection with Monday’s fire at the facility in which eight people were killed and 13 others were injured, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.

12 killed after bus falls into river in Madhya Pradesh, PM announces ex gratia
