In new policy, MP plans cow sanctuaries in forests
Madhya Pradesh plans to develop 10 cow sanctuaries on forest land, accommodating over 50,000 cows, as part of a new initiative for cow welfare in the state. The move is likely aimed at the upcoming elections. The state has 850,000 stray cattle, of which nearly 350,000 are in cow shelters.
