Young textile designers showcase their works at Suvyan 2023

The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology's textile design graduates showcased their collections at the annual Suvyan 2023 exhibition in Chandigarh, with five students receiving awards for their work. Menstrual hygiene still a major challenge in tricity colleges

Lack of awareness, limited access to menstrual products, and social stigmas surrounding menstruation continue to be hurdles for female students in tricity ahead of Menstrual Hygiene Day. While steps have been taken to address the issue, more needs to be done, including providing free or subsidised sanitary pads on campus and open dialogues about menstruation. Many NGOs hold awareness campaigns to break taboos and encourage conversations.

Chandigarh Music and Film Festival opened with celebrities calling for the establishment of a film city in the region to create jobs and promote filmmaking.
