The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is looking to expand its electoral footprint, lost its lone Lok Sabha seat after it failed to retain the Sangrur parliamentary seat in Punjab.

Sangrur, considered the home turf of Bhagwant Mann, went to the polls after Mann took oath as Punjab chief minister on March 16. The defeat came a little over three months after the AAP registered a thumping win in Punjab. (PTI)

To cut bad air, curbs on trucks entering Delhi from Nov to Feb

5 million smart electricity meters in Delhi from October: BSES

“No new policy on country liquor will be issued because it was realised that this particular market is relatively small and is already streamlined. So, we are not going to tamper with what is going well already,” said as senior official of Delhi’s excise department, requesting anonymity.

Delhi: Evening driving tests at 3 tracks in city

Training centres in Delhi may soon also issue driving licences

The federal ministry had issued a notification on July 1 last year that allowed individuals in India to acquire a permanent driving license without taking a driving test at a regional transport office.

State transport minister Kailash Gahlot kicked off the new practice on Wednesday, interacting with passengers on a few of the newly launched e-buses. The DTC and cluster buses together carry about 4.2 million people every day
