Noida, Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway authorites lost 2,314-cr revenue: Audit

The Uttar Pradesh local fund audit has found that Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway suffered losses of ₹2,314 crore between 2010 and 2016 due to irregularities. The audit was conducted to establish transparency and accountability in government bodies. The losses were caused by various irregularities such as executing projects without approval, selling public assets at lower rates, and not collecting government revenue from defaulters. The audit report has been tabled in the Uttar Pradesh assembly. Prompt action is being demanded against the officials responsible for the irregularities.

The audit report was tabled by the finance department in the Uttar Pradesh assembly on Tuesday. Noida sustained a loss of <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>863 crore, Greater Noida <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>1,190 crore and Yamuna Expressway a loss of around <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>261 crore, said the audit report.
