In a shocking student, a girl student who had complained that she was facing harassment by a group of youngsters was expelled from the school.
The girl, who hails from Temurani (Betul), studied at a government school at Pusli Gaon in Athner.
She had recently complained to the principal about the harassment she was facing from a group of youths on way to the school.
The girl had accused Ravi Solanki and his friends for harassing her.
She had told the authorities that she was grabbed and forcibly taken behind the school building.
Surprisingly, after her complaint, she was given the transfer certificate (TC).
The girl has been trying to get admission in other schools, but to no avail.
Her father said the school authorities didn’t listen to the complaint and gave her the TC.
The family has now approached the district administration and sought an inquiry into the incident.
Residents of the village expressed disappointment over the issue and said the girl was suffering without any fault.
On the other hand, school principal Vasudev Khandait denied the charges and said the girl was issued TC after her parents applied for the same in order to get her admitted in another school.
However, the district administration has assured that action would be taken in this regard.
Stating that the matter is under investigation, deputy collector Chandra Pratap Gohal said the girl would be given admission in the same school.
