Director Tigmanshu Dhulia has tweeted in support of Jolly LLB director
, against whom actor Geetika Tyagi had levelled allegations of sexual assault on Tuesday.
Tigmanshu wrote on Twitter that the film industry should boycott Aurangzeb director Atul Sabharwal, who is also Geetika's boyfriend. Dhulia wrote, "If the film industry has any heart, they should boycott Atul Sabarwal as he was part of this vicious scheme to demean Subhash Kapoor."
Atul had supported Geetika, who last appeared in One by Two, when she publically accused Subhash of molesting her. The incident happened a year-and-a-half ago but Geetika levelled the charges for the first time on Tuesday.
She tweeted the link of a video in which she is seen confronting Subhash Kapoor in the presence of his wife and Atul. In the video, Kapoor says that he is ashamed of what happened, and is ready to face the consequences. Geetika is then seen slapping him.
Atul has reacted violently to Tigmanshu's tweet, asking whether the latter even knew the facts of the incident.
wrote, "Do you know the facts? Were you there at the incident? Am I running around the film industry for support?"
He added, "@dirtigmanshu so shut the f*** up! Watch the video. Boycott me a thousand times and we will rise above all of you in this."
Sooper Se Ooper director Shekhar Ghosh said on the issue, "The interaction may have happened but whether or not it was forced, is questionable. Also, it is very easy these days to blame anyone. I am scared of casting new girls in my films because you never know what might come a few years later."
Ghosh added that Subhash is "a respectable man".
