Singing is my unique talent: Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana says it is his skills as a singer that has made him a household name
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana who made an impact with his debut film, Vicky Donor last year, both as an actor and a singer (he sang Paani Da in the film), says that it’s this uniqueness that has helped him create a name for himself in Bollywood.
“A lot of actors have unique talents. And it is this talent that I feel has helped me carve out a niche for myself in the industry,” he said, adding,”I am more versatile as an actor than as a singer. I can only sing a particular genre of songs, that is, soft rock and Punjabi songs.”
The 29-year-old released his fourth single, O Heeriye, on September 14. “This one is different from the other songs that I have sung. It celebrates love, unlike the others, which talk about heart break.
Also, the chord progression and the structure is different from the previous songs,” he says. Ayushmann, who is also in the news for playing a Marathi scientist in his next, Bambai Fairytale, confirms the role, but refuses to divulge any information about the film.
“Yes, I am learning Marathi for my next film. And I know that a lot of people have created a buzz around it, and it’s in the public, but I really cannot reveal anything right now,” he says.
