Chef Taruna Birla was born with a ‘mixing spoon’ in her mouth and a natural talent for the works of an entrepreneur, author, homemaker, and self-motivated Chef.

Her journey began in her hometown, Bhilwara, where she observed that there were no cooking classes in her vicinity, and people often came up to her for food/cooking advice and ideas. Relishing these encounters, she was always keen on innovating and sharing new recipes and insights with peers. As a direct result of these instances her passion became apparent and to embrace it fully, she started a cooking institute in the year 2020 with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a well-equipped culinary studio. Her stimulating conversations about the provenance of spices and dishes got everyone engaged and eventually enrolled.

She has an unshakable passion for creating food with soul; dishes that are innovative but also classic. Through her years of experience as a culinary artist and with a demonstrated history of working in the food production industry, she aimed to introduce her dexterous cooking style to households. To ascertain this goal, she designed cooking courses and workshops with simplified and detailed instructions so that even beginners could enjoy the experience of cooking. We can sum it up in the famous words of Puck “Cooking is like painting or writing a song. Just as there are only so many notes or colors, there are only so many flavors—it’s how you combine them that sets you apart.”


Further down the road she published India’s first digital book of Bakery edition “Enchanted,” which incorporated some of her famous bakery recipes. The book was a great success and consequently gave her the confidence to pen down yet another recipe book "Luscious Love from Mom" which was launched on 8th February 2021 by Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor; she was recognized and appreciated by him for her vibrant ideas and interactive cooking style.

Shortly after securing many coveted reviews from individuals and renowned Chef’s, she received the honor of accepting two prestigious awards - Sarvottam Samman award & Bharat Ratna Ambedkar award by Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, and Goa & Hon’ble Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Shri Ramdas Bandu Athawale. In March 2021, the “Emerging Chef Award’ was also presented to her during the Luxury Lifestyle Awards in Dubai.


What’s next for her? In her holy grail is the setup of ‘Taruna Birla Institute of Hotel Management’ which will provide a myriad of courses ranging from the front office to food production and bakery. Her ambitions are always one step ahead of her goals and with a persevering stride of actions, she sets a great example for all aspiring individuals. Her vision is to proffer you with an end-to-end experience and provide training in both, leadership and culinary skills, by cultivating the craft of winning hearts, filling stomachs, and electrifying tongues for everyone.
