Tata Technologies share price Highlights: ‘Listing beyond imagination’, says expert

On the listing day of Tata Technologies IPO, the share prices of the firm skyrocketed threefold, and the valuation of the company saw an all time high. Tata Technologies has also joined the top seven companies in India to have the highest listing day returns.

In summation, Tata Technologies IPO is proving to be beneficial for the shareholders and bidders, with the shares starting at ₹500 and now set to cross ₹1400 soon.

After the IPO bidding closed, it was recorded that the Tata Technologies issue was subscribed 69.43 times, making it one of the most sucessfull Tata IPOs of all time.

Tata Technologies has emerged as the seventh highest listed company in India after its shares soared at around 168 percent on listing day of the IPO.

After the successful listing of the IPO, Tata Technologies valuation has skyrocketed, nearing USD 7 billion for the first time since the inception of the company.

With the spike in share prices, the valuation of Tata Technologies has also grown majorly, with the market valuation of the firm listed at ₹54,353.50 crore on BSE.

While Tata Technologies issues price was at ₹500, its shares have now jumped to ₹ ₹1,200 on the NSE and at ₹1,199.95 on the BSE, jumping three-fold after the IPO listing of the firm.

Tata Technologies' valuation has topped that of its peers KPIT Technologies, L&T Technology Services and sister Tata Group company Tata Elxsi, which are valued between 409 billion rupees and 524 billion rupees, reports Reuters

India has seen a record 196 IPOs so far this year, with share benchmarks scaling record highs on improving economic growth prospects and a vast consumer base, reports Reuters

Tata Technologies' "listing was beyond imagination... and post that, the rally to 1,400 rupees was even more unexpected," Arun Kejriwal, founder of Kejriwal Research and Investment Services, told Reuters, adding that short-term investors could book profits. The company's future earnings through a part of financial year ended 2025 appear to have been discounted at the current valuation, Kejriwal added.

Tata Technologies provides engineering research and development services along with product development and digital solutions to global OEMs and their key suppliers. The company is looking to expand into aerospace, transportation and electric vehicles.

Its automotive business delivers about 70% of sales, with Tata Motors and JLR among key clients and Vietnam’s Vinfast emerging as a major customer.

Federal Bank Financial Services is trading at ₹146.55 a share on BSE and ₹146.50 a share on NSE. Gandhar Oil Refinery is currently trading at ₹308.50 on Nifty and ₹308.60 on BSE

The Tata Technologies shares are currently trading in green at ₹1,339 a piece on the Bombay Stock Exchange. On the NSE, the shares are trading at ₹1,341 a piece.

"This robust investor interest reflects the company's strong fundamentals and promising growth prospects and of course the legacy of the Tata group," Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth, Swastika Investmart Ltd told ANI after the listing.

The BSE Sensex is currently down by 188 points at 66,715 points. Nifty is trading at 20,059

At the NSE, the Tata Technologies shares began the trade at ₹1,200, rallying 140 per cent. The stock later jumped to ₹1,400. The company's market valuation stood at ₹52,939.74 crore during the morning trade, PTI reported
