Here are three alternate motorcycles to consider before buying the Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is one of the most popular 350 cc motorcycles in India. It has captured the minds of the Indian audience with its timeless design and performance. Since the launch of the Classic 350, it has always headed the segment as a core model from Royal Enfield.

The updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 is equipped with a new chassis and engine. This new Classic 350 gets powered by the latest 349 cc J-series engine, producing 20 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a a 5-speed gearbox. Interestingly, with the new model, Royal Enfield seems to have fixed many of the Classic 350's issues making it much more reliable and efficient than its outgoing version.

However, if you are in the market looking for a retro bike in the 350cc segment and want something other than the Royal Enfield Classic 350, here are some of the alternatives that stand out with thier unique features.

Jawa 350

The Jawa 350 was updated earlier 2024 and is one of the most popular Jawa models in India. While the 2024 Jawa 350 might look similar to the one it replaces, the new model comes with notable upgrades.

The 2024 Jawa 350 uses a bigger and more powerfull 334cc engine, replacing the old 249cc engine. The new engine puts out 22 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. The 334cc is tuned for stronger performace especially at lower revs which makes the ride much more responsive and smooth. The engine gets paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The new gearbox is also an improvement over the older unit, making the shifts much more smoother in turn enhancing the performance. The 2024 Jawa 350 is priced between 1.99 lakh to 2.15 lakh, ex-showroom.

Honda CB350

The Honda CB350 is priced between 2.10 lakh and 2.13 lakh, ex-showroom, and marks the entry point into the Honda 350cc motorcycle segment. The CB350 blends in style and performace at an accessible rate. The Honda CB350 uses a 348 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, delivering 21 bhp and 29 Nm of torque.

The engine gets paired with a 5 speed gearbox. Interestingly, the bike further comes with a a slip-and-assist clutch. This helps in making the gear shifts smooth and adds to a light clutch feel which is ideal for both city commutes and long cruises.

Royal Enfield Bullet 350

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 stays true to its origin featuring a timeless design. Just like the Classic 350, the Bullet 350 also uses the same 349cc air-cooled J-Series engine. Mated to a 5 speed gearbox, in the Bullet 350, the engine produces 20.2 bhp at 6,000 rpm with 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
