Mobile van clinic for women health care inaugurated at Ludhiana’s DMCH

In order to provide best medical care facilities to women residing in rural areas, a mobile van clinic was donated by NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation Limited) to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for its rural health centre in village Pohir on Friday.
This mobile van clinic has been set up with the support of NTPC Ltd under DMCH outreach programme.
Dr Bishav Mohan, professor department of cardiology, DMCH elaborated that this van is fully devoted to women health care and equipped with hi-tech and advanced medical equipment and it is projected to offer consultancy services of doctors to women of rural areas.
“Women in rural area are facing many challenges like malnutrition, lack of menstrual hygiene, maternal and child health and to tackle these problems NTPC has taken the initiative under corporate social responsibility (CSR) project and donated this mobile van clinic to DMCH to provide affordable healthcare facilities to the rural women,” he said.
This van includes advanced microscopic for ENT check-up, blood analyser, ECG, BP apparatus, defibrillator and glucometer and it has facilities of all types of gynaecological examination.
