In the 2020 Delhi assembly elections also 11 Sikhs had contested, out of which two – both belonging to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) -- had won. Then, SAD an alliance partner of the BJP had backed out of the polls at the last moment protesting against the Citizens Amendment Act passed by the BJP government.

After Delhi debacle, future tense for AAP in Punjab

Though chief minister Bhagwant Mann drew impressive crowds, the AAP lost most of the dozen-odd seats having a sizable Punjabi population with big margins. The AAP had deployed its top state leaders, including ministers, MLAs and other leaders, to campaign in Delhi.

Car falls into gorge in Shimla, 2 killed

The deceased were identified as Ramkrishan Sharma and Surjit Singh, both residents of Badlavag village in Chopal. The accident took place near Chambi on the Chopal-Jhina road on Friday evening.
