The police had arrested Amandeep Singh Amni (25) and Dalvir Singh Dalli (30), both cousins, on Sunday for allegedly raping the minor, following protest by the victim’s family members and villagers outside the Rajindra Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

Doctors treating the victim said her condition is improving. A medical team has been constituted by the administration to provide best possible treatment to her, said an official.
According to the police, the girl said she had gone to see “jago” during a wedding ceremony in her neighbourhood on Saturday night when the accused, who were drunk, pulled her in a car.
The police said the accused took turns to rape her in the moving car.
