“Out of the budget of 78,800 crore, only 15,772 crore has been kept for infrastructure schemes. Last year also only 16,271 crore was kept but in the revised budget it has been reduced to 13,335 crore only. In the budget, the Kejriwal government has talked about zero tolerance for corruption. What can be a worse joke than this that the government whose two ministers are in jail for corruption and more than 10 scams are under investigation or cases have been registered, is making fun of itself by talking about zero tolerance for corruption,” Bidhuri said.

Bidhuri claimed that the Delhi government’s statement that the central government used to give only 325 crore as the share of taxes to Delhi and this year this amount was also not given was a white lie.

“The Delhi government has already breached the secrecy of the budget, and has now presented a bundle of lies in the form of the budget. In the budget the Delhi government presented the schemes started by the previous government or the schemes such as Signature Bridge, Barapullah. The AAP government mentioned the beautification of the roads in the budget, but the public knows that the work is going on for the last 3 years on the roads for which a pilot project was made. The roads were dug up and abandoned and no one took care of them for months. Now if the claim is being made for the beautification of 1,400km of roads, then it will take another 50 years to improve the roads of Delhi at that speed,” said Bidhuri.

“Every year the AAP government claims that it will bring 10,480 buses to Delhi by the year 2025. Last year it had claimeed that 1,000 electric buses will be inducted in Delhi, but only 250 buses were added. DTC’s 3,760 buses already have completed their life and they are catching fire every day. When there are no buses, then from where will the Mohalla buses run?” Bidhuri said.

Bidhuri cornered the AAP government on its plans to clear the three landfill sites of the Capital. “This target was fixed by the BJP in the MCD itself and the work was going on very fast,” Bidhuri said.

“The entire budget is just an attempt to hoodwink the public. This is the reason why the ruling party members also did not show any interest in the budget and were in the mood to sleep during the budget presentation,” said Bidhuri.
