Gurugram man duped of 50k in WhatsApp fraud, couple held

The couple used to copy people’s photos from various social sites, put it as their WhatsApp display picture, and then used to send messages to the same person’s friends or relatives, said police.

Class 11 student raped, threatened over sensitive photos in Gurugram

Gurugram civic body rejigs registration of pets, licence now for 3 years

MCG said it has started the process to streamline pet registration and has already given licences to owners of 750 pets, said officials

Incorrect details on property IDs put Gurugram residents in a fix

MCG officials said that a property tax survey conducted by a private agency in January 2022, found that properties falling under the tax ambit increased from 307,000 to 514,000. The MCG created new property IDs based on the survey and then invited objections from residents. However, residents alleged that the new property IDs had incorrect details, creating a faulty database

Man run over by Gurugram civic body’s garbage truck

Police said that the incident took place around 1.20am.A few police personnel, who were on night duty at the spot, witnessed the accident and chased the fleeing truck on foot after raising the alarm. These personnel later alerted the deceased’s family after taking the contact details from his mobile phone. They also alerted the Sector 40 police station about the accident
