Four Covid deaths, 455 new cases in U.P.
Gautam Buddha Nagar reported 74 new Covid cases, with active case count reaching 530 and Ghaziabad reported 38 new cases with active case load touching 278. The number of active Covid cases in the state is 3239.
LUCKNOW: Four Covid deaths and 455 new cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
Amethi, Sambhal, Bareilly and Ambedkar Nagar reported one death each among Covid positive patients, taking the total number of corona deaths in the state to 23680, according to health department data.
The test positivity rate in state is 1.63 and case fatality rate is 1.1.
Lucknow reported 57 new Covid cases while 125 patients recovered on Friday, according to the data from the health department.
Indira Nagar reported 5 new cases, Chinhat 16, Aliganj 9, Sarojininagar 5, Alambagh 4 and Chowk 4. There are 565 active cases under treatment in the state capital, according to the health department.
“As majority of the active cases are in home isolation, it is important that they follow isolation and health advisory. Also, it is a must that they complete their isolation period so that they may not infect any other person,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors.
