Fadnavis and Thackeray exchange pleasantries at assembly complex
The two have been at loggerheads since Thackeray parted ways with the BJP in 2019 and formed the government with the help of the Nationalist Congress Party and Congress
Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday chatted briefly and walked together after entering the state assembly complex.

The two have been at loggerheads since Thackeray parted ways with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019 and formed the government with the help of the Nationalist Congress Party and Congress.
The tensions between the two escalated after Thackeray was forced to quit as the chief minister after Shiv Sena lawmakers rebelled against him last year and paved the way for BJP’s return to power.
Fadnavis on Thursday waited for a few minutes in the parking area of the complex for Thackeray, who is a member of the legislative council, to alight from his car and greeted him at the main gate. The two then walked together and chatted for a few minutes.
Legislators Ambadas Danve, Aaditya Thackeray, and Manisha Kayande were among those who accompanied them.
