LUCKNOW: A day after the Modi government conferred Bharat Ratna on former Bihar CM and socialist icon Karpoori Thakur, BSP supremo Mayawati on Wednesday demanded the country’s top civilian honour for party founder Kanshi Ram.

In a series of post on social media platform X Mayawati said, she welcomed the belated decision of the Central Government to confer the great personality of the country Karpoori Thakur, who was the chief minister of Bihar twice, with the title of Bharat Ratna.
