Suicide bid by girl student: Case lodged against assistant principal, four teachers for harassment
The girl, who is a a science student, had allegedly jumped off from the roof of school on November 23 after taking her Physics exam. She had sustained head injuries and is undergoing treatment at BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur where her condition is reported to be critical.
Two days after the incident of suicide bid by a girl student of class 11 of a reputed private English medium school in Kushinagar district, the police here have registered a case against assistant principal along with four other teachers for harassing the girl and scolding her in class.
SP Kushinagar Dhawal Jaiswal said following the complaint of mother of the victim, the police have lodged a case against the school staff at Kotwali police station. Incharge of Kotwali police station Raj Parkash Singh said inquiry has been initiated in the case.

On Friday, her mother registered complaint at the SP office levelling serious charges of harassment and mistreatment against the assistant principal and four other teachers.
Meanwhile, the media coordinator of the school has categorically denied the charges and said that they had provided the screen grab of the CCTV camera installed in school to the district police in which the student was spotted on the stairs all alone.
