Craftsmen of Varanasi prepared a special Angvastram based on Shiv Shakti theme for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Padma awardee GI specialist Rajnikant said that these gifts will be presented to PM Modi to honour him in Kashi on Friday.

Zardozi artists Tarannum, Shama and Shabana, in collaboration with Shadab Alam, weaved a Devimukh (Goddess Mouth) with a trident and ghats on the other side of the Banarasi silk Angavastram. The Angvastram has been made by Bachche Lal Maurya.

Similarly, a 14-inch idol of Maa Durga riding a lion with Gulabi Minakari artwork on it by skilled craftsmen Amarnath Verma and Arun Verma, will be presented to the Prime Minister by chief minister Yogi Adityanath on his arrival in Varanasi.
