World Water Day: ‘Important to spread awareness about conservation, recycle & reuse’

Lucknow A congregation of delegates from the Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) discussed the topic of ‘Accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis’ in Lucknow on Wednesday. The event was conducted by Suez India at the Bharwara Sewage Treatment Plant.

“We observe World Water Day to spread awareness about water conservation, recycling, and reusing water. Water is depleting at a rapid rate. Therefore, is extremely important for us to take measures to stop the wastage of water and opt for conservation methods,” said Rajesh Mathpal, the project director of Suez India.

Meanwhile, IWWA’s Lucknow chairman Sanjay Kumar Singh underlined the importance of educating the masses about water conservation. After the congregation, an outdoor visit was facilitated by the Urban Development Department in coordination with U.P. Jal Nigam and Suez India.
