T20 WC
]The T20 World Cup 2021 is the seventh edition of the 20-over World Cup, and one that promises to garner plenty of attention. The T20 World Cup returns after a gap of five years, with the previous edition being held back in the year 2016 in which West Indies emerged victorious and became two-time T20 World Cup Champions. The tournament, originally scheduled to take place in India, was moved to Oman and the UAE, but despite the change in venue, the sheen of the prestigious ICC event remains intact. The winner of the World Cup will take home a cheque of $1.6 million in prize money, whereas the runner-up will receive half the amount. The playing conditions for the tournament will see the introduction of a scheduled two-and-a-half minute drinks intervals at the 10-over mark of each innings in every match. Also, in a monumental move, the Decision Review System (DRS) would be making its debut at the T20 WC.
