World Cup Most Runs

48 ODIsOct 5 - Nov 19

Virat Kohli leads the charts as the highest run-getter of the 2023 World Cup having scored a record 711 runs at a mind-boggling average of 101.57 including three centuries. And with one more game to go, trust the former India captain to breach the 800-run mark. Kohli already holds the record for most runs in a single edition of the World Cup, going past Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 673 which the Master Blaster conjured way back in the 2003 edition. Kohli achieved this distinction and that of completing 50 ODI centuries during his knock of 117 against New Zealand in the semi-final on Wednesday. Quinton de Kock currently sits second in the list with 594 runs, followed by the New Zealand duo of Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell, but all three of their positions are under threat due to Rohit Sharma's marauding form. The India captain has set the World Cup ablaze with 550 runs and another exciting knock against Australia in the final will propel him to the second position, a rung below Kohli. David Warner and Shreyas Iyer are in contention too at No. 6 and 7 with 528 and 526 runs respectively.
