The second edition of the World Test Championship runs from 2021 to 2023 with the final scheduled to be played between India and Australia at The Oval starting June 7. The five-Test series between India and England in 2021 marked the beginning of the cycle. A total of 69 Tests held across 27 series determined the finalists of the second WTC. Each team played a total of 6 Test series – 3 home and 3 away. The World Test Championship is not restricted to one country or venue. It's a two-year-long cycle and takes place in all the countries which are featured to take part in it. New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, England, Bangladesh will all host Test series that will be part of the next World Test Championship.

No, India is yet to win a World Test Championship. They had reached the final in 2021 but lost to New Zealand and now have a second chance to lift the trophy when they face Australia in the WTC final starting June 7 at The Oval.

The winner of the World Test Championship 2023 is yet to be decided with India taking on Australia in the final next month.

The World Test Championship final will take place at the Oval in England next month. It will take place from June 7 to 11, 2023.

The top 8 ranked Tests teams in the world qualify to compete in the World Test Championship. As a result of it, India, who are already the finalists this year, will automatically qualify for the next WTC cycle.

Each team participating in the World Test Championship plays 6 Test series - three home and three away after which the top two teams make their place into the final.
