Wednesday is last day to submit nursery admission forms, first list on February 15
Schools will upload a list detailing marks given to each applicant based on the point system adopted by them on February 2. The first list of selected general category students will be announced on February 15.
Wednesday will be the last day to submit applications for nursery admissions in private school of Delhi, with the first list of selected candidates being declared on February 15.

The application process for approximately one lakh nursery seats in private schools opened on December 27 last year for general category applicants and will close on Wednesday.
Schools will upload a list detailing marks given to each applicant based on the point system adopted by them on February 2. The first list of selected general category students will be announced on February 15.
Parents will then have till February 20 to raise queries regarding the points allotted to their wards, and a second list will be released on February 28. Last year, parents only had two days to get their queries resolved.
Many popular schools expect to fill their seats with the first list, as they have received over 25 applications for each seat. Manohar Lal, the principal of Delhi Public School Mathura Road, said they had approximately 150 general category seats, and had already received around 4,000 applications for these.
Ameeta Wattal, the principal of Springdales School, Pusa Road, said that they had 53 seats at Pusa Road and an additional 30 seats in Kirti Nagar, and have received about 4,500 applications for these.
Admissions to the entry level seats are based on a point system, and schools were free to devise their own admission criteria and allot points for each criterion. However, the Directorate of Education had formed district level monitoring cells to ensure that schools do not adopt any of the abolished 62 criteria considered “unfair, unreasonable and non-transparent,” including oral tests, interviews, achievement of parents, non-smoking parents and vegetarian parents.
“There were some grievances, not too many, and we handled them in real time. For eg, there were a few schools which had technical glitches and parents could not apply online. We told them to take paper applications,” said Saumya Gupta, the director of education.
For EWS category students the online application process will start on January 22, and will be open for a month until February 21.
