Tuesday recorded above normal temperature, when it spiked to 25.6 degrees and never dropped below 16.4 degrees Celsius.

Delhi residents already complaining about the warmer weather in the city will have to brace themselves for hot days ahead, as weathermen do not see significant difference in temperatures for the next week.

Tuesday recorded above normal temperature, when it spiked to 25.6 degrees and never dropped below 16.4 degrees Celsius.

“I have been in Delhi since 1960. I remember during my school days, summer holidays were in April/May, and those were the hottest months. Now it is getting warmer earlier, and the weather patterns have gone for a toss. The unpredictability of the weather is unsettling, and it is because of man-made causes like pollution,” said Amit Bannerjee, a resident of CR Park.

Delhi will continue to experience warm days in the coming week, with minimum temperatures not expected to drop below 12-16 degree Celsius, and maximum temperatures oscillating between 26-29 degrees Celsius.

“It is getting really warm, really soon. It is completely unusual. I don’t know what is happening, but it does not look good,” claimed Arshya Ghazi, a resident of Lajpat Nagar.

Wednesday will see temperatures rise up to 27 degrees Celsius, and they are not expected to drop below 14 degrees Celsius. Though morning temperatures may drop to 12 degrees on Thursday which will climb back up to 26 degrees Celsius during the course of the day, these temperatures are still a notch above the normal temperature.

The average normal minimum and maximum temperatures for this time of the year is 11 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

By next Monday, temperature will oscillate between 29 degrees Celsius and 14 degrees Celsius.
