French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni are all set to make a date with the Taj Mahal this Valentine’s Day (February 14), reports Jayanth Jacob.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni are all set to make a date with the Taj Mahal this Valentine’s Day (February 14).

Bruni, who missed a chance to visit India when Sarkozy came to Delhi as chief guest for the 2008 Republic Day celebrations, is looking for a feel of India that goes beyond the Taj and where her husband’s official work may take her.

“The First Lady wants to spend a day (February 13) in Pondicherry, then she and the President are expected to be at the Taj the next day,” an official said. “We are working out the programmes. Security arrangements need to be put in place.”

“Unforgettable... will come back soon.” That was what Sarkozy had written in the Taj visitors’ book in January 2008.

A second visit, this time with his wife would be special as the glamourous couple got married on February 2, 2008.
