CBSE Class 10 Science Exam 2023 Live Updates: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has concluded Class 10 board exam for the Science paper today, March 4. The CBSE Class 10 Science paper started at 10:30 am and ended at 1:30 pm. Students can check Class 10 Science sample paper, question bank, marking scheme, syllabus, etc. at cbseacademic.nic.in. Admit cards were issued earlier on cbse.nic.in. 

This year, around 38 lakh children are taking CBSE Class 10 board exams. This comprises of 16,96,770 Class 12 students and 21,86,940 Class 10 students.

Analysis of the CBSE Class 10 Science paper and students' reaction will be made available at the end of the exam. There is no major paper for Class 12 students today.

  CBSE 10th Science Paper 2023: PGT Physics reviews the paper 

  Shashi Bhushan Yadav, PGT Physics, VidyaGyan School, Bulandshahr said, “Overall the question paper is balanced and touches all aspects of the curriculum and guidelines issued by CBSE. In Physics section, a few questions were moderately-difficult, tested critical thinking and conceptual clarity of the students. However, a few questions were directly from the books. In Chemistry, theory part (2 and 3 Marks questions) was average with a certain level of difficulty. In biology part, some questions evoked critical thinking for students to reaffirm their knowledge. We can conclude that the question paper was good, balanced and engaging for the students.”

  CBSE class 10 board exam: Science paper review

  Dr Shweta Rai, PGT Biology, Pacific world school said, “The science paper of Class X Board Examination was moderately easy to average questions. No question was found to be outside of the syllabus. About 50-60% of the questions were straight from the textbook. Students could easily finish the paper before allotted time. MCQ's were mostly average but needed a conceptual knowledge. Case based questions were uniformly distributed from easy to moderate and can be answered by students.”

  CBSE 10th science question paper: Reviews by TGT Science

  Jayant Kumar, TGT Science, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Lucknow said, “The Grade X Science board exam began with a great note with a set of balanced question paper with a moderate difficulty. The Section-A of the question paper consisted Objective Type Questions with a balance of theory and application based questions. The last four questions of section A consisted four Assertion and Reason Questions based on remembering and understanding of the concepts. A Few numerical question from Physics were also visible in this section. The Section B of question paper was easy and more focussed on the theoretical aspect of the subject. The Section C of the question paper was a blend of both theoretical and application based questions. A few questions were based on analytical aspect with moderate difficulty. The Section D consisted theory, numerical and application based questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology with easy to moderate difficulty. Section E consisted Competency Based Questions with with the concept of Application and Analysis.The question paper was moderate, Balanced and effectively tested the application, and analytical skills. The students already had solved the CBSE sample papers, NCERT and Exemplar Exercises withi turned out to be fruitful. In a nutshell, the students were satisfied with the level of the question paper.”

  DPS Indirapuram, Ms. Ritu pant, Senior Mistress said, “The class X Science (086) paper is a balanced one. Students who have studied their NCERT textbook thoroughly will definitely score well. The pattern was similar to the CBSE sample paper and the difficulty level was not very high.”

  Mr Rupjyoti Kalita, PGT- Computer Science, Modern English School, Kahilipara, Guwahati said, “Today's Science paper was blended with moderately easy and average questions. No question was outside of the syllabus. About 70-80 percent of the questions were straight from the textbook. Students could easily finish the paper before allotted time. Distribution of the question includes uniform distribution of marks including skills like knowledge, application, evaluation etc. MCQ's were straight forward and mostly average. Case based questions are uniformly distributed from easy to moderate and can be answered by students.”
