Put away any sort of cynicism. Having complete positivity is most important and not possessed by all. Believing in the hard work one has put up in the last few months or the year is most important at this time. This is not the time to cover new concepts. So, stay calm and wait for the best. Here are some important tips to help you for the last minute CLAT preparation:

Don’t go for new information: There is always a temptation to learn something new. Many students compare themselves with others and start looking for ways to get ahead. Mostly, student end up looking for new information or content, with a belief that I may be missing on something important. Learning new topics at the last moment may prove detrimental to your preparation. You may not be ale to cover every new concept with clarity and this may spoil the hard work you have already put in.

Quick Revision: Continue to do quick revisions for every subject including General Knowledge. Work on your notes, important events along with historical connects. General awareness section requires one to do regular and timely revisions. The CLAT exam doesn’t follow a syllabus for its’s a test of one’s reasoning and decision-making skills. Legal reasoning is now in a new avatar with the focus on decision making. However, the concepts from the field of law are important. This will give you an upper hand if you have worked through legal knowledge. Revise the important judgements pronounced over the last six months. Solve a couple of Data Interpretation sets and revise the important formulae from the important topics such as percentages; and Ratio and Proportion.

Avoid writing too many Mocks: Many students keep the mocks at abeyance for the last-minute prep. Mocks are a great toll to understand your strength and weaknesses, which need time to take corrective measure and work on the weaker areas. Writing too many mocks at the last moment may increase pressure and anxiety especially if you do not score well. Write just one or two mocks to fine tune your strategy.

Keep yourself energized: CLAT paper is scheduled in afternoon, the time of the day when you may not be at your best in terms of energy. You need to be active and energized at this hour of the day. Ensure your take proper sleep and meditate/exercise regularly. This will your body and mind active.

Last minute Strategy: The most important ingredient to crack a competitive exam like CLAT is to have a right strategy. How you will attempt the paper, time allotment to each of the section, order of the sections to follow and attempt, how to review the questions quickly and how not to get yourself into any trap in the question or section, are some of the key decisions which form your strategy. One should strive to fine tune the strategy already experimented in the mocks instead of developing a new one.

While somethings are predictable, the same is not true for CLAT for it can throw surprises like it did in 2022 in the general awareness and current affairs section. Be ready for such surprises. Surprises are part of the exam. One must not go on the backfoot in such a case. Rather, keep your nerves in control for there are five sections in the paper and one can look at the other sections as their savior.

Remember, CLAT paper has negative marking wherein you will be penalized for every incorrect answer. Don’t take unnecessary risks, for you may end up losing more than what you may have scored. Intelligent guessing kept aside, its wise not to take such risks. Don’t forget, every candidate will be attempting the same paper and will face similar challenges. Don’t lose your chance with any hasty step.

Keep calm and will win this race-CLAT 2023 for sure.
