The CET-BEd is being conducted by LNMU for the fourth time in succession to complete the enrollment process for 37,500 seats in two-year B.Ed colleges and institutes and 100 seats for Shiksha Shastri of Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University (KSDSU).

"Notably, the number of female candidates exceeded that of male candidates, suggesting a growing interest among women in this course. Of the total applicants a total of 255 candidates have applied for Shiksha Shastri course, which will be conducted exclusively at KSDSU", informed state nodal officer of CET-BEd-23 Prof Ashok Kumar Mehta.

According to Prof Mehta, to ensure a fair and transparent examination, separate examination centers will be set up for men and women candidates in each city. He informed that 11 cities across the state have been designated as examination centers, among them, Patna city's examination center is the most preferred by candidates, with 53,172 students scheduled to appear for the exam.

Other centers with a significant number of candidates include Darbhanga (26,269), Muzaffarpur (22,141), Gaya (13,795), Madhepura (13,570), Ara (11,683), Purnea (10494), Bhagalpur (9775), Chapra (8230), Munger (7762) and Hajipur (7117).

The admit cards will be available for download from March 30, and it is mandatory for candidates to reach their examination center by 9am. The examination will be held on April 8 from 11am to 1pm.

Prof Mehta said applicants, who made mistakes in their name, parents' name, category, or gender can correct their mistakes by filling out the form on the official website by March 22, with an additional fee.

"It is important to note that only LNMU and Patna University in the state have so far declared degree part 3 results of academic session 2019-22 even as the pending results of degree part 3 in other universities have affected the prospect of freshers of these institutions to apply for the CET-BEd exam", claimed an LNMU official on the condition of anonymity.
