Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Ranjit Cotta Carvalho secured 1,479 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 46.1%, 40.2% and 6.5% respectively.
In Goa Assembly election 2012, Independent candidate Vijai Sardesai beat Bharatiya Janata Party's Damodar (DAMU) G. NAIK by 1,939 votes.
