Goa Key Candidate
]Veteran politician Churchill Alemao served as Goa's chief minister for just 13 days in 1989, and has been a part of various governments since then. Alemao began his political career as a founding member of the United Goans Democratic Party, but has switched several camps over the years, including launching a now-defunct Save Goa Front. He then joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC), moved to the Nationalist Congress Party, and is now back with the TMC. A former MP, Alemao was a mainstay of Goa's politics until he was defeated in the 2014 general elections, along with his daughter Valanka, brother Joaquim and nephew Yuri. Valanka this time is contesting from Navelim in Benaulim, the constituency Alemao currently represents.
