Mandrem is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the North Goa district. People of Mandrem voted for Goa Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Goa Assembly Election 2017, there were 31,375 registered voters for Mandrem assembly seat, out of which 15,691 were male and 15,684 were female voters. 1.3% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the 2017 Goa Legislative Assembly Election, there were 7 candidates in the fray from Mandrem constituency. Mandrem was one of 17 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a one way contest with Indian National Congress's Dayanand Raghunath Sopte comfortably winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Laxmikant Parsekar by a huge margin of 7,119 votes.
The top two candidates split 93.9% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Dayanand Raghunath Sopte got a total of 16,490 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Laxmikant Parsekar secured 9,371 votes. Maharashtrawadi Gomantak's candidate Shridhar Ladu Manjrekar secured 678 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 59.9%, 34.0% and 2.5% respectively.
In Goa Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Laxmikant Parsekar outperformed Indian National Congress's Dayanand Raghunath Sopte by 3,435 votes.
