St. Cruz is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the North Goa district. People of St. Cruz voted for Goa Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.
In Goa Assembly Election 2017, there were 27,711 registered voters for St. Cruz assembly seat, out of which 13,459 were male and 14,252 were female voters. 1.1% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the Goa Legislative Assembly Election 2017, St. Cruz constituency had 9 candidates for assembly seat contention. St. Cruz was one of 17 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a close contest with Indian National Congress's Antonio Caetano Fernandes winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Hemant Dinanath Golatkar by a margin of just 642 votes.
77.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Indian National Congress's Antonio Caetano Fernandes got a total of 6,202 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Hemant Dinanath Golatkar secured 5,560 votes. Independent candidate Rodolfo Louis Fernandes grabbed the third spot with 5,262 votes. The top three parties got 28.3%, 25.4% and 24.0% respectively.
In Goa Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Atanasio J. Monserrate beat independent candidate Rodolfo Louis Fernandes by 2,336 votes.
