Bharatiya Janata Party's Dhanjibhai Patel (MAKSON) won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Patel Mohanbhai Dahyabhai by a margin of 19,524 votes.
The top two candidates split 93.3% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Dhanjibhai Patel (MAKSON) got a total of 89,595 votes, while Indian National Congress's Patel Mohanbhai Dahyabhai secured 70,071 votes. Independent candidate Vasani Charulata Akshaykumar secured 2,682 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 52.4%, 40.9% and 1.6% respectively.
