Will accept any role BJP assigns: MLA Hardik Patel ahead of oath-taking ceremony
The newly-elected lawmaker said it will be BJP that will decide on who to keep in the cabinet.
BJP MLA Hardik Patel on Monday reiterated that he will accept whatever role his party will assign to him. Responding to questions on a possible cabinet berth, the newly-elected lawmaker said it will be BJP that will decide on who to keep in the cabinet.

“I am a very young MLA. I only believe in working for the party. BJP will decide who they want to keep in the cabinet. I will happily accept whatever responsibility the party decides to give me,” he was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

On Saturday, the Patidar agitation leader said the formation of BJP government once again will take the state ahead in the next five to ten years.
"Once again BJP has formed the government ... see how strong Gujarat becomes and goes ahead in next five-10 years," he said.
Patel added that he is a mere soldier and will accept any role his party will assign to him. "I have played the role of a mere soldier from the beginning. I will accept whatever role the party assigns me," he said.
Patel made his debut from the Viramgam seat and beat the Congress' Bharwad Bhikhabhai and the AAP's Amarsinh Thakor by over 50,000 votes each.
