Himachal Pradesh Election: Balh Assembly Constituency 2022

Balh comes under the Mandi district and it is one of the 68 Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Balh voted for Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on November 12 and the result was declared on December 8.

Balh assembly constituency had 68,688 electors in 2017, out of which 34,211 were male voters and 34,477 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.6% votes.

What happened last time

In 2017, 4 candidates were competing for Balh assembly constituency seat. Balh was one of 44 seats won by the Bharatiya Janta Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janta Party's Inder Singh comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Prakash Chaudhary by a huge margin of 12,811 votes.

The top two candidates split 98.7% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janta Party's Inder Singh got a total of 34,704 votes, while Indian National Congress's Prakash Chaudhary secured 21,893 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Prem Kumar Hawal secured 466 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 60.5%, 38.2% and 0.8% respectively.

In Himachal Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Prakash Chaudhary defeated Bharatiya Janta Party's Inder Singh by 3,116 votes.
