Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Md. Anwar Hussain grabbed the third spot with 8,456 votes. The top three parties got 36.8%, 32.5% and 28.9% respectively.
In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Md. Abdul Nasir outperformed independent candidate Md. Azizul Haque Khan by 3,957 votes.
