      2 killed in Manipur poll violence, state logs 76% turnout in phase 2

      CEO Rajesh Agrawal said of the total 22 constituencies that went to polls on Saturday, Mao assembly constituency in Senapati district remained at the top with the highest polling percentage of 86.78%, followed by Hiyanglam assembly constituency (86.31%), while Tamei assembly seat witnessed the lowest voting percentage (61.23%) till 5 PM.

      Manipur polls: Congress to challenge EC in Supreme Court

      Manipur assembly election 2022: On Friday, the Congress accused the northeastern state's ruling BJP of taking help from banned militant organisations for the second phase of the state elections by releasing funds in two instalments for the banned outfit, Kuki National Organisation.

      Manipur polls: Congress expels candidate for supporting BJP rival

      The Manipur Congress has expelled its candidate from Wangoi and ex-MLA, Salam Joy Singh, from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect for supporting his rival candidate from the BJP, Oinam Lukhoi.
