      Manipur assembly election 2022: On Friday, the Congress accused the northeastern state's ruling BJP of taking help from banned militant organisations for the second phase of the state elections by releasing funds in two instalments for the banned outfit, Kuki National Organisation.

      Blast outside expelled BJP leader’s residence in Manipur

      Nobody was injured in the blast triggered by two masked persons, who came in a two-wheeler, a police officer said.

      Manipur polls: Congress expels candidate for supporting BJP rival

      NDA allies contesting separately could pose trouble for BJP in Manipur

      The relationship between NPP and BJP hasn’t been the smoothest in the past five years and in the run up to polling on February 28 and March 5, the party has accused the BJP of using militant groups to attack its candidates and workers. It has also filed a complaint with the Election Commission to probe the violence.
