Manipur Election: Patsoi Assembly Constituency 2022
Patsoi is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Imphal West district. Manipur Assembly Election 2022 for Patsoi will be held on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
Patsoi assembly constituency had 34,916 electors in 2017, out of which 16,620 were male voters and 18,296 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.8% votes.
In the 2017 Manipur Legislative Assembly Election, there were 5 candidates in the fray from Patsoi constituency. Patsoi was one of 28 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was an extremely close fight, with Indian National Congress's Km. Ak. Mirabai Devi narrowly winning the election upstaging North East India Development Party's Sapam Kunjakeswor (KEBA) SINGH by a slim margin of 114 votes.
95.8% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Indian National Congress's Km. Ak. Mirabai Devi grabbed a total of 13,405 votes, while North East India Development Party's Sapam Kunjakeswor (KEBA) SINGH got 13,291 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate S. Premananda Sharma bagged 3,173 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 43.0%, 42.6% and 10.2% respectively.
In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Akoijam Mirabai Devi beat All India Trinamool Congress's Sapam Kunjakeswor Singh by 5,547 votes.
