Manipur Election: Singhat (ST) Assembly Constituency 2022
Singhat (ST) is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Churuchandpur district. People of Singhat (ST) voted for Manipur Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Singhat (ST) assembly seat had 26,684 registered voters. Of the, 13,313 were male and 13,371 were female voters. 0.4% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Singhat (ST) constituency had 3 candidates for assembly seat contention. Singhat (ST) was one of 28 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Ginsuanhau won the election by upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Chinlunthang by a margin of 1,162 votes.
The top three candidates split 100.0% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Ginsuanhau got a total of 8,131 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Chinlunthang secured 6,969 votes. National People's Party's candidate Henlianthang Thanglet grabbed the third spot with 3,124 votes. The top three parties got 44.6%, 38.2% and 17.1% respectively.
In Manipur Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Ginsuanhau defeated All India Trinamool Congress's T.Hangkhanpau by 10,690 votes.
