Manipur Election: Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency 2022
Thangmeiband is the assembly constituency which comes under the Imphal West district. It is one of the 60 Manipur Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Manipur Assembly Election 2022 for Thangmeiband will be held on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.

It was an extremely close fight, with Indian National Congress's Khumukcham Joykisan Singh winning the election defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Jyotin Waikhom by a narrow margin of 157 votes.
97.6% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Indian National Congress's Khumukcham Joykisan Singh got a total of 11,596 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Jyotin Waikhom got 11,439 votes. Peoples Resurgence And Justice Alliance's candidate Erendro Leichombam grabbed 573 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 49.1%, 48.5% and 2.4% respectively.
In Manipur Assembly election 2012, All India Trinamool Congress's Khumukcham Joykisan Singh defeated Indian National Congress's Jyotin Waikhom by 984 votes.
