Dera Baba Nanak comes under the Gurdaspur district and it is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Dera Baba Nanak voted for Punjab Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.

Indian National Congress's Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa got a total of 60,385 votes, while Shiromani Akali Dal's Sucha Singh Langah secured 59,191 votes. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Gurpartap Singh Khushalpur grabbed the third spot with 17,222 votes. The top three parties got 43.1%, 42.3% and 12.3% respectively.
In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Sukhjinder Singh defeated Shiromani Akali Dal's Sucha Singh by 2,940 votes.
