Punjab Election: Mansa Assembly Constituency 2022

Mansa is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Mansa district. People of Mansa voted for Punjab Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Punjab Assembly Election 2017, there were 2,06,800 registered voters for Mansa assembly seat, out of which 1,10,173 were male and 96,627 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Punjab Legislative Assembly Election, there were 8 candidates in the fray from Mansa constituency. Mansa was one of 20 seats won by the Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party's Nazar Singh Manshahia won the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Manoj Bala by a margin of 20,469 votes.

The top three candidates split 95.3% of votes between them. Aam Aadmi Party's Nazar Singh Manshahia got a total of 70,586 votes, while Indian National Congress's Manoj Bala secured 50,117 votes. Shiromani Akali Dal's candidate Jagdeep Singh Nakai grabbed the third spot with 44,232 votes. The top three parties got 40.8%, 29.0% and 25.6% respectively.

In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Shiromani Akali Dal's Prem Mittal outperformed Indian National Congress's Gurpreet Kaur by 1,305 votes.
